The NBA Finals MVP, Kevin Durant expressed his rationale for his unwillingness to attend, in an interview with ESPN “I don’t respect who’s in office right now, so my voice will be heard by not doing that.”. The White House, under the Trump Administration, has already welcomed other teams such as The Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, as well as The World Series Champion Chicago Cubs in order to honor their titles.
