On Wednesday February 14th, 2018 the 18th school shooting of this school year occurred. This occurred in Parkland, South Florida only about 30 miles northwest of Fort Lauderdale. Are you wanting to join a sport this winter? If you’re just looking for a way to have a ton of fun or wanting to get in shape. It’s not too late to join West Clermont High School’s swim team. The swim team is both challenging and fun and a great place to meet new friends. Swim team goes from November to February, competing in 12 guaranteed meets not including sectionals, Districts and State. Cross Country season has came and gone along with the rest of the fall sports for this year. Majority of the cross country runners will come back for another season next year however, for the 6 seniors this is not the case. Last friday night at the football game, we celebrated the 6 runners along with seniors from football, cheer, band, and golf.
Every year at the end of the cross country season, there is a league meet where all the teams from the league gather to race one last time for the season. Some of these runners will go off to districts, regionals and even state. However, for many the league meet is their final race.
The West Clermont Girls Soccer team dominated their game against Northwest this past weekend at West Clermont High School. It was many players last time playing on their
home field as it was senior night for our Lady Wolves. The celebration for the seniors started on Friday with a senior dinner where all the players and coaches gathered to celebrate the seniors last year of playing soccer. Before the game started the Seniors walked out with parents and family members, while coaches, parents, and players said final messages to each other and congratulated the seniors.
