NFL Week 15 Winners/Losers

Winners

Todd Gurley II, RB, Los Angeles Rams: What a thoroughly dominating performance, and one that looks all the more impressive considering it came against a Seattle Seahawks defense that hadn’t allowed more than 19.3 non-PPR or 22.3 PPR fantasy points in a game and had allowed averages of 15.2 (third-fewest) and 19.7 (fourth-fewest) in those respective scoring systems to opposing running backs entering the week. Gurley’s 45.0 PPR and 42.0 non-PPR fantasy points set new career highs for the third-year running back, and the latter was the best single-game score by any individual player all season. DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Houston Texans: Like his 35.9 PPR points, it was the fourth time in his career that he had scored at least 35, and in each of the four he had a different quarterback throwing to him. Continue reading Fantasy football Winners/Losers Week 14

NFL Week 9 Winners/Losers

Winners

Jay Cutler – Dolphins: When the Dolphins traded Jay Ajayi to the Eagles, fantasy owners had to wonder just what they would do with the offense given the fact that Jay Cutler came into Week 9 averaging just 165.8 yards-per-game passing.

Cutler stepped up to the plate and knocked the ball out of the park (so to speak) by completing 34-of-42 passes for 311 yards, 3 touchdowns, and had no interceptions for the first time since Week 1.  Continue reading NFL Week 9 Winners/Losers

The Golden State Warriors refuse White House Invite

It is tradition for championship teams of all sports to attend The White house after their wins. The Golden State Warriors have elected to not accept President Donald Trump’s Invitation, after winning four to one in their seven game series against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2017 NBA Finals. Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are among

The NBA Finals MVP, Kevin Durant expressed his rationale for his unwillingness to attend, in an interview with ESPN “I don’t respect who’s in office right now, so my voice will be heard by not doing that.”. The White House, under the Trump Administration, has already welcomed other teams such as The Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots, as well as The World Series Champion Chicago Cubs in order to honor their titles.
