Ranking Popular Thanksgiving Foods

Starting off with the absolute worst, we have green bean casserole. The name itself just does not sound appetizing at all. Green beans by themselves are okay, but once you go and add the mushroom soup or whatever, I just have to draw the line. We don’t even ever make this at my house, and I am really glad that we don’t.

Next up, there’s cranberry sauce. This is honestly tied for last place with the green bean casserole. I really just don’t get why anyone would voluntarily eat cranberry sauce. I mean, it comes in a can, and when you pour it out, it literally stays in its shape. I think that that is just so weird. Not to mention, I really don’t like cranberries in general, but even if I did, I don’t think that I would like the sauce version. Also, why would people put it on their turkey? I don’t get it.

Now we have sweet potatoes. These really aren’t the absolute worst, but they aren’t better than the other things on the list. Sweet potatoes by themselves are pretty good, but when you add the marshmallows on top, it gets gross. I like marshmallows, just not with potatoes.

Next we have stuffing. Along with pretty much everything else on this list, I just think it’s weird. It’s okay on its own, but I wouldn’t eat it in or with the turkey. When I eat this I only get a tiny bit, but it’s not repulsive.

Moving up the list we have gravy. Unlike the sweet potatoes, I wouldn’t eat gravy by itself. It’s really only good on mashed potatoes. I wouldn’t personally put gravy on turkey or anything else. It’s really just okay.

Next up is pumpkin pie. Honestly I used to hate pumpkin pie. It’s still not my favorite, but I’ll eat a piece if I have to. Sometimes it tastes okay, and other times I don’t like it at all. I think it really just depends what kind of mood i’m in. I will say that it is way better than pecan pie though. That didn’t even make the list.

Next on my list is mac and cheese. It’s honestly a hit or miss for me. It really depends on who made the mac and cheese, and what kind of mood i’m in. Sometimes it’s really good, and i’ll keep going for more, and other times I can hardly eat it at all. Most of the time though, it’s pretty good.

We are finally at the top three of my favorite Thanksgiving foods. These are the foods that I will mainly eat, and will definitely get seconds or thirds. In third place, we have mashed potatoes. You really can’t go wrong with mashed potatoes. With just a little bit of gravy on top, they could be perfect. I love all things potatoes, and these aren’t an exception. I’ve literally never met someone who doesn’t like mashed potatoes, so I think this is a pretty popular opinion.

In second place, we have turkey. You’re probably confused as to why turkey is in second place instead of first, which I would totally understand. Turkey is definitely the “main” Thanksgiving food, but it’s not my number one favorite. Usually it’s really good, and you can’t go wrong with it. I also haven’t met anyone who doesn’t like turkey, because that would just be weird.

Finally, in first place, we have rolls. I love rolls so much. I will eat the whole entire basket if I have to. It’s probably really weird that such a basic food is my favorite Thanksgiving food, but oh well. I look forward to them all day before we eat. Rolls with butter are just the best, and it doesn’t matter who makes them or brings them to the table, I’m almost certain that they will always taste good. Well, that was my take on Thanksgiving foods. I hope that those of you reading this will agree with at least one thing on this list!
