“Black Friday is going to be very different this year. The endless lines and the stampedes are a thing of the past now. Every store will have to comply with the COVID regulations. Black Friday is NOT CANCELED, all stores will be having sales for Black Friday, some will be having sales throughout the month of November”.
There has been a massive spike in COVID cases in our communities and the U.S.A. in general. Let me issue this reiteration of the protocol. Everyone who is out in public is required to wear a mask. All public buildings have a person limit, this is decided on square footage. This brings me into social distancing everyone who is not family should stay 6 feet away from each other. They decide the person limit based on social distancing, it’s about 5 people per 1,000 square feet. All stores, restaurants, bars, and gyms have to disinfect anything that people touch. In stores, this would be the self-checkouts, the card reader, and carts. Restaurants and bars have a lot more disinfecting to do. They have to disinfect tables, chairs, and menus.
Black Friday Changes
Normally on Black Friday, the lines are out the door. To prevent a large number of people from showing up this upcoming Friday some stores are offering sales all month. For example, Walmart is having different sales events throughout the month. The first event has since passed it was at the beginning of November; this event offered sales on toys, electronics, and home goods. The second event was during the middle of November. The sales are for home goods, TV’s, and computers. The third event is the one with the real Black Friday deals, this event starts on the 24th and ends on the 27th. Many stores and restaurants have adopted the curbside pickup option for food and grocery. This offers a contactless, easy, and quick way to get your goods. Most places will be closed on some will be open like Macy’s, Michaels, and Big Lots.
