But honestly the best thing we can do for our skin is go back to the raw, organic, and homemade ingredients that created skincare recipes that have been passed down for centuries to come. The best part about creating your own masks is that you won’t break the bank since they are very common household ingredients, you won’t spend hours making the mask, and you will be able to take away a sense of pride because you are creating something beneficial!
- DIY Baking Soda And Coconut Oil Face Mask: Now trust me when I say baking soda has more purposes then just making a Science Fair Volcano. Baking soda is one of the most versatile ingredients you can have in your kitchen, it can be used to clean bathrooms, countertops, yet it’s gentle enough to whiten teeth and even exfoliate your skin! Baking soda can be used on sensitive skin, and even balance the levels of pH your skin contains! The best part about this face mask is that you will only need two ingredients: coconut oil, and baking soda. In a small mixing bowl, take 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, and 1 teaspoon of baking soda, you want to mix into a smooth paste. Add baking soda as needed. But before you apply the mask you want to cleanse your face and neck, and apply the mask for 15 minutes! Rinse with warm water, and boom! Your skin will feel refreshed!
- Avocado And Vitamin E Face Mask: Vitamin E has a ton of beneficial properties that go beyond just skin care! For example, when Vitamin E is taken orally it can add major boosts to your immune system! For this mask you will only need two ingredients as well! You will need: 1 avocado and vitamin E in the form of oil. From ½ of the avocado you want to remove the skin and remove the pit. In a small mixing bowl you want to mash the avocado half, and add 1 teaspoon of Vitamin E oil. Prior to using the face mask, make sure you cleanse your face and neck. Apply the mask for 15 minutes, and rinse away with warm water!
3. Coconut Oil And Oatmeal Face Mask: Coconut oil is one of the most amazing, raw ingredients our world has graced us with! Coconut oil has antibacterial properties, and it balances the levels of pH in your skin! For this mask you will only need 3 ingredients. You will need coconut oil, oatmeal, and warm water. In a small mixing bowl take 3 tablespoon of oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, and ¾ cup of warm water. You want to combine the ingredients and mix until it forms a nice paste. Once you have created the paste you want to wash your face and neck, apply the mask for 15 minutes, and wash away with warm water!
