There is a lot of talk to today that tackle football is causing too many long term injuries in players. Is that necessarily true?
Here are some reasons why football would be too dangerous for young kids. There are a number of things that can go wrong according to whyy.org. Things such as concussions, crippling diseases and even Alzheimer’s disease just from playing the game. One reason football is too dangerous is because of CTE which is a deadly brain disease that is a result of repetitive hits to head. Many kids start the game of football at an age of as low as 4 years old. At that age, the child’s brain is not fully developed which can the brain more likely to be damaged. With more and more young people playing football, the risk of early childhood disabilities is becoming greater. Depression, erratic behavior, and headaches are some long term effects of the brain injuries. There are no helmets that keep kids 100% safe from head injuries. Researchers tested different brands of helmets and there was virtually no difference in the concussion rate between them. The percentages for Xenith helmets are 6%, Riddell has a 9% concussion rate, and Schutt has 8% concussion rate. These numbers may not seem low but they add up over time when your child is constantly getting hit. The final reason that your child shouldn’t play football is that there is a critical build up of proteins in your brain that has been linked to Alzheimer’s. This has been proven to be 5 times more likely in people that have suffered concussions and memory loss. There has yet to be a drug to prevent this from happening so if your child has played football and gotten a concussion as well as suffered from memory loss, they are at risk. Ever since I could remember there was always the famous kickoff to start every football game. It was the moment that sparked the game and you were always hoping there was that one chance that a big play would come out of it. Now the NFL might be taking out the kickoffs all together.
The president of the Packers and member of the NFL Competition Committee, Mark Murphy stated that even with the new rules that help protect the players and safety for everyone involved, the kickoffs are still a dangerous part of the game.
Even with the two new rules applied to the game, there still have been serious injuries to players due to the kickoffs. They moved the kick to the 30 yard line and the touch back zone up to the 25 yard line to avoid the number of returns. Still there are 11 players running full speed hoping to get a huge hit on the kick returner.
There have been multiple cases of concussions from the kickoff alone. Concussions are a serious injury that can lead to long lasting brain problems. Mark Murphy and others have come out and are trying to get the kickoff to be taken out fully. Then there are others who just want to change the play so it isn’t as dangerous. They are still trying to find a way to change the play so it doesn’t have such and impact on the game and is safer for the players.
I think they should not take out the kickoff completely, but I do think they should make some changes. They should have the kicker alone come out onto the field at the 15 yard line. Then where ever the ball lands is where the drive should start. The touch back area would just be the touchdown and then they would be able to take it at the 25 yard line. Who do you side with and what do you think the NFL should do?
The second amendment to the US Constitution states that a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Every American has been raised to believe that they have that right to own a gun when they become 18 and that is just their American right, but are
some people too invested in their gun ownership? Times are beginning to change, public places aren’t as safe as they used to be and some civilians are blaming the guns. This is a very controversial topic that has been discussed many of times. There is an estimated 55 million Americans who own guns. The percentage of people who own guns decreased from 25% in 1994 to 22% last year. There is also an estimated amount of 300,000 to 600,000 guns that are stolen yearly. The US tops the list of countries with the most guns. The United States owns about half of the worlds guns while only taking up 5% of the world population. The average American gun owner owns about three guns. Are guns the problem to all of these shootings?

The park holds over 700 miles of hiking trails, the Hidden Lake, and other activities including backpacking, cycling, and camping. If you have the desire to visit this beautiful place home of only 25 of it’s original 150 glaciers, act fast.

After game 2 of the western conference semifinals, Draymond Green grabbed the microphone after Golden State win with the score of 121-116 over New Orleans, and there was plenty of evidence that he was in no mood to back down from anyone’s challenge. The warriors forward had done head to head with Ramon Rondo just before halftime at the Oracle Arena. The pelicans point guard took after Draymonds “ words of wisdom” after warrior player, Klay Thompson, hit a buzzer beater three that gave them golden state a 58-55 lead at half. Draymond and Anthony Davis tumbled down the floor and Draymond performed he is act so well that he got the double foul. After the game, during the interviews, Charles Barkley made a comment about Draymond saying, “ I want to punch him in the face so bad”. Draymond also had something to say. “ I heard what he said. A lot of guys talk on Tv, stand behind a microphone and a Tv screen. The fact of the matter is if you feel that strongly about it, then punch me in my face when you see me. If you’re not going to punch me in my face when you see me and be straight up with it, then please just shut up. It’s no different than somebody sitting behind a computer screen tweeting and saying useless crap like, ‘I’ll knock you out’, and you never see them in life. But he has seen me a bunch of times and he will see me again this year. Punch me in my face when you see me, or if not no one cares what you have done. You off and it is what it is. So if you aren’t going to punch me next time, then just stop talking about it. Period.” Obviously he had to voice his opinion about it and say all of that because it is useless crap. But other than that’s statement Draymond doesn’t care but he has the better stats and has been the Warriors best all around player during the postseason helping them for Stein curry return. “We love his intensity. He’s been playing amazing this whole playoff run, taking the challenge defensively who ever he is guarding, being an officiator on offense, knocking down shots, good shots. It’s fun to watch and when his emotions are like that and he’s having fun doing what he’s doing and that’s a big pick up for our team”, curry said about Draymond green.
The key to flawless makeup application is what goes underneath. One of the most helpful tips of advice I have learned is that, skin care, and understanding you skin type is essential. Our skin is the largest organ in our body, and it is important to take care of it, as you can prevent early sign of aging, and prevent acne.
If you use too abrasive of cleansers or toners this can affect oily skin especially because now your skin dry, even though it is recommended to constantly wash and tone your face. But, this will result in your skin having to working overtime trying to reproduce the oils that you stripped away. Continue reading How To Take Care Of Your Specific Skin Needs

Teen Mom 2/OG and 16 and Pregnant are television shows broadcasted nationally about the lives of teenage mothers and the struggles they may face. Six pregnant teenagers allowed MTV to film their pregnancies hoping to encourage the young viewers to wait to start their families. After four years of being on television, teen pregnancy rates have dropped drastically. From 2009-2010, the rates had dropped nine percent reaching a historic low of 34.3 births per 1,000 women between the ages of 15-19. This rate is higher than any other developed country, where typical rates of teen childbearing are more often in the range of 5 to 10 births per 1,000 girls in this age group and it is said that four out of five teenagers pregnancies are unintentional. Since 16 and Pregnant was first aired in the summer of 2009, it is tempting to wonder whether or not the show was responsible for this drop in teen pregnancy. This rate dropped faster in area where teenagers were watching more MTV programming. Also, many of the show’s stars became celebrities and appeared on the cover of People Magazine, which could be another problem. Teenagers are under the impression that having a child in high school is one way to get attention, and famous. “Maybe that’s what’s drawing viewers’ attention,” Teen Mom OG star, Farrah Abraham stated.

Hard headed or strong minded Sometimes when you go into the military you need to be both. Going into the military affects you physically and mentally, it’s not an easy thing to do and it’s not for everyone. Some people known from early on in their life that want or are made to go into the military or the navy. While others parents kinda push them to go into the military or some type of service probably because they did and their parents did and they want the tradition or service to continue on.
Although some people join for expenses. For example full medical coverage for you and your family. Once you join the military and you become a member you receive immediate full health benefits for themselves and their intermediate family; not your long distance step cousin.
Another example would be college or skills and training. The military provides advanced technical training in variety of career fields. Also many military members are able to attend college that is usually paid for by tuition assistance. Some people go straight into the military after high school because they can’t afford schooling and need assistance so they join and receive the tuition assistance.
