The weather may be cooling off, but Wolves winter sports are sure heating up. Competitions between all sports are starting off strong in hopes for a great first season as a West Clermont Wolf. Many new school records are
being set throughout the athletic program as the first ever winter athletes in school history.
Boys Basketball started off strong with the first win against Little Miami but, later fell to Walnut Hills with 2 point difference losing 59-57. On Tuesday, December 12th they boys brought their best game beating Turpin 61-46. West Clermont also has 3 players in the running for Offensive leaders in the ECC conference, these people include; Jay Tiemeyer, Alex Puckett, and Dallas Padgitt. Come out and support the boys at Milford this Friday!
Girls basketball is off to a good start with their season as they are going into their next game at kings as a 3-1 team and undefeated in the conference. The Lady Wolves have dominated the past 3 games beating Simon Kenton, Turpin, and Withrow. Offensive leaders include; Jasmine Hale, Alexis Starks, and Kirstin Click. Defensive leaders include; Alexis Stark, and Kendall Hale.
West Clermont boys and girls swimming kicked off last week at Norwood where the girls and overall scores defeated Norwood. West Clermont also raced their first home meet ever yesterday against New Richmond. With a close match but sadly a loss. West Clermont is showing their talents and setting incredible times to see look at the ECC website. The girls and boys swim team compete next Wednesday at Milford, come support.
Boys and girls bowling are really bringing the heat! Boys lead the ECC with a 6-0 record and the girls are in second with a record of 4-2. Leading the wolves and ECC is Jarryd Forthuber also leading the girls and and the ECC is Danielle Cooper.
Winter academic team is in a tie for first place right now with a record of 2-0-0. West Clermont academic team is sure rocking and rolling and ready to take on their next competitor to win the ECC for the first year ever. Winter Sports sure are getting intense, make sure you come out and support all your fellow wolves and cheer them on.
