On Sunday, Bengals WR, AJ Green, and Jaguars CB, Jalen Ramsey were ejected for a fight that broke out.
Jalen Ramsey is known for antagonizing receivers. On many plays he doesn’t put in his mouthpiece just so he can talk. He definitely did his job at getting under the skin of AJ Green causing him to throw some pretty heavy punches.
The game took place in Jacksonville and the ejection of Ramsey grew loud boos from the fans because the replay on the big screen showed that Ramsey didn’t do much prior to the fight other than push Green. It’s hard to understand why Ramsey was ejected from the game but Green’s frustration came after the cornerback spent most of the first half in his face.
Prior to being ejected, Green was held to only one reception for 6 yards. Maybe his struggle to find room was part of his built up aggression.
After being ejected from the game, Jalen Ramsey didn’t want to go. Stadium personnel had to restrain him from walking to the visitor’s locker room. When the Bengals came in at halftime, he was yelling profane words at the Bengals and threatening Green before he was sent back to his locker room.
For the remainder of the game, the Bengals offense was basically nonexistent. The score prior to Green and Ramsey being ejected was 13-7. At the end of the game the final score was 23-7. Andy Dalton didn’t have a big threat with AJ Green being ejected and John Ross inactive. Dalton finished the day with only 136 passing yards and 0 passing touchdowns.
Lucky for both the Bengals and the Jaguars, neither AJ Green nor Jalen Ramsey are ejected for next week’s game.
