Obviously every weekend there are upsets in sports, but some are more significant than others. The biggest upset of the weekend was No. 2 ranked Clemson losing to unranked Syracuse, 27-24.
Clemson’s starting quarterback came into the game with a little bit of a bum ankle. He wasn’t in the game long as he left the game early with an apparent concussion in the first half.
Arizona State beat No. 5 Washington 13-7. Washington had a punt blocked that led to a field goal and Washington’s kicker missed two field goals from 27 and 21 yards.
No. 8 Washington State loses to non ranked California 37-3. California forced 7 turnovers and 5 of them were interceptions.
LSU takes down No. 10 Auburn in a second half comeback, 27-23. To bring the game within one score, DJ Chark of LSU returned a punt for 75 yds.
Many of these teams playoff hopes have been dismantled due to these losses.
