The homecoming game against Withrow was on Friday, and at halftime the homecoming court was announced, awards for most spirited and best float were given out, and the marching band performed.
Though the homecoming court was already announced at the pep rally on Friday, it was re-announced at halftime. Nicole Galligan and Dakota Denier were crowned Homecoming Queen and King. Kira Palmisano and Aaron Westendorf were announced to be princess and prince. The sophomore attendants were Katie Braun and Austin Kresser, and the freshman attendants were Payton Willenbrink and Stoney Hamilton.
Before the game, each class’ float was displayed and judged. At halftime, it was announced that sophomores won best float. Seniors also won an award for most spirited based on their participation during spirit week.
After, West Clermont High School’s award-winning marching band and colorguard performed two pieces: Canyons by Philip Glass and Danzon No. 2 by Marquez.
The score at halftime was 21-7 with WCHS in the lead, and in the end our team won with a score of 37-7. Overall, the homecoming game was a big success and a great way to start homecoming weekend.
